They turn off the highway and the noise falls away with it. Gravel crunches underfoot as a hand-built Western town rises out of the Texas brush — weathered timber, tin roofs catching the last of the sun, a green cactus by the Cantina door. Nobody expects a place like this out here. That's the first feeling: surprise.
Then they step through the gate and the town opens up. String lights sway between the rooftops, the Saloon hums low and warm, the Villa courtyard runs out to a wide Texas sky. Your people start to wander, and something loosens — shoulders drop, strangers start talking. That's the second feeling: ease.
By dark, the whole town glows. Firelight pools in the streets, a band warms up, and nobody's checking the time.
